The Gilded Image > Medieval Revivals
Each of my images is a recreation of a painting from over 500 years ago. Some of the originals were watercolours on hand-made paper, some were originally bas-relief sculptures on church doors but most were egg tempera and gold-leaf paintings on gessoed board.
My medieval recreations you see here are sometimes copied from only a small part of the original painting. They are painted in a variety of media, including acrylic, gouache, egg tempera and gold leaf.
