Some of my favourite reference paintings

There is nothing like the inspiration of seeing paintings up close in their country of origin. We are lucky to live in an age where travel is still reasonably affordable and digital cameras enable you to capture the most memorable pieces for future reflection. Italy has so many treasures from medieval times. India is full of spectacular wall frescoes and hand-drawn miniatures that are still being recreated today.

The following collections are some of the photographs I have been able to take as reference materials for future art work. I need two lifetimes to be able to recreate all my favourite ones.
